10 Things I ______ About Japan
1) Hate Yahoo Japan! Our "broadband" YahooBB! connection has been crawling for the past 3 weeks now... or is it 4? Seriously taking half an hour to check an email and making it impossible to blog. What's more, when I emailed customer service they replied that it's in our contract that we don't get English support and that we have to reply in, and I quote, "fluent Japanese". Yahoo's a friggin' American company for crying out loud!
2) Love Sakura! Even though it's actually a Korean tree, it sure is amazing and had the best time with Kat, Jane, John and myself at 8am before work with our own Hanami breakfast at Koshigaya river! Love it!
3) Hate Smokers! Smokers, smokers everywhere. Smokers smell in my jacket, shirt and underwear!
4) LOVE Roppongi Hills! Truely awsome architecture, artworks, trendy shops and generally relaxing atmosphere (when not getting a Chinese VISA).
5) Hate fast food shop assistants who don't understand that I want a "burger set", despite me circling the picture of the meal with my finger and saying "Burger Setto Kudasai (please)".
6) Love Tokyo People. Great style, personalities, awareness (for the most part), etc...
7) Hate Saitama People. It's the suburbs people! You might not notice it at first, bit there is a HUGE cultural difference between people here and in the city center. i.e. spacial awareness, fashion, "Hey, you're white! Are you from America?", etc.
8) Love Pokemon!!!
9) Hate the bread and milk. Still eat it but I really miss "real" bread and "real" milk. :(
10) Love Japan. Will hopefully be moving out next month INTO Tokyo. Not sure about transfering to a different branch. Renewed my Visa for another year (with no thanks to Nova!) am starting to paint again... life is good! Also got several letters and emails lately! Thanks everyone!

How have I changed?

Welcome. My name's Brad and I'm about to start my fifth year in Tokyo, Japan though lately I've found that that defines me as badly as saying I'm from Sydney, Australia.
