Found it!
After a quite Google search I found some infor from the following sites:
Kasukabe City is located in the center of the Kanto Plain and is 35 kilometers north of Tokyo. Highway 4 and Highway 16 intersect at Kasukabe City. Tobu Noda Train Line and Tobu Isesaki Train Line both come into Kasukabe Station. Kasukabe City is situated around Kasukabe Station. Kasukabe is in the eastern part of Saitama prefecture and is 20 kilometers (or 30 minutes) from the prefectural capitol Urawa City.
Sounds good! Close to Tokyo. Also any fans of Pokemon (I admit to being a fan!) will know the Kanto Plain is where the first season of the anime (and computer game) was based.

Located in the southeastern part of the Saitama Prefecture, the prefecture government office is also located in this city.
This city used to be a post town that grew on the Nakasendo Road. At present, it is a crossroads where a number of railway lines meet, including the Tohoku, Joetsu, and three other Shinkansen Lines, JR lines, and private railway lines. On May 1, 2001, three cities, namely Urawa, Omiya and Yono merged together and Saitama City was born. It will become the 13th ordinance-designated city on April 1, 2003. It is already well positioned as a core-business city and is expected to grow to a pivotal city that will lead a wide variety of activities in the Kanto Region.

And there's some more info HERE about the culture and history worth checking out.
Can't wait!

Welcome. My name's Brad and I'm about to start my fifth year in Tokyo, Japan though lately I've found that that defines me as badly as saying I'm from Sydney, Australia.
